My point was, that is a moral issue too! It's just one you happen to be against.

I'm not changing my view either, to me it's not a government issue. Just like I don't see drug use or prostitution as a government issue.

Abortion is murder, pure and simple. Well, they'll do it in the back alleys anyway? Wow, that's great logic. Let's just make murder legal since they'll do it in the back alleys anyway. And while we're at it let's legalize pedaphilia, since they're going to do it anyway.
This is a religious thread, and the question was addressed as a moral question, not a political one. If you have a problem with me because I am against abortion and gay rights, then take it up with the One who wrote the rules, not me. His Word is clear on both these issues, and that is what I must live by. Thankfully, I will only have to answer for my actions and my stance on these moral issues.
As for 4,000 Americans for nothing, the responsibility for that rests completely on our government, which the last time I looked included Dems, Reps, and Independents. The death of a soldier is tragic and I mourn the loss, but the death of the soldier that chooses to serve can never be compared to that of the death of a still unborn child who has no choice.

Not all sin is the same in the eyes of God. If it were, we would have been destroyed long ago. To Him, sin is sin, true, but if you study the Old Testament you will see that different sins reaped different consequences in punishment. Therefore, one must deduce that there are certain sins worse than others in the eyes of God.
The fact of the matter is that sin, any sin, is enough to separate us from a Holy, righteous, and just God. That's where the premise that "sin is sin" originates.

I'm responding because it's a message board and my opinion is that abortion should be a religion and moral issue not a government one. The president decides when to send troops in, he can send them in with or without approval, he's the chief. You made it political by saying how could anyone vote for a democrat. Death is death last time I checked. Agreed on the only God can judge you, my view is that I don't believe in murder and that is between God and I not the government. I seriously hope religious views never get that much involved in our government.

Government already endorses that. Problem with America in general imo is that government is way to involved in the everyday life of Americans.

I think you all are right and correct on your views. The point is that there is a BIG difference between religion and God. He is The One who will judge us all. Religion should not be allowed in politics, but God Himself should be. Let Him guide you in what you do and say. Trust in Him and He will never lead you down the wrong way. Trust in religion, and it will lead you down the wrong path time and time again. I know, one time, money became my religion and it got me in real trouble. Because of that, I hurt many people. I am truly sorry that happened. That will be an everlasting "thorn" in my side.
All I am saying is, trust in God's judgement and the answer will be there for you.
